Heyy!!How are you?I feel like it's been a while.Hope you've caught up on my recent posts?
So I know some mothers always have issues with moving from cereals to solids and I did with Grace(my 5 year old)
However with Ella I have been experimenting since she was about 8 months old. This is one way she loves her stew.I make it so many different ways depending on what I have available.Sometimes I make with minced meat, sometimes I do fish and meat together.
This post wasn't planned from the onset so some pictures I couldn't take.

Deboned & Mashed Titus Fish
The titus fish was cooked with seasoning cube, salt, curry,a little thyme and some onions.

  • Titus Fish(mashed)
  • Tomatoes
  • Garlic
  • Ginger
  • Green Pepper
  • Onions
  • Seasoning cube
  • Salt
  • Groundnut oil

Ella does not like to taste anything close to pepper in her food. She tastes adults food and sometimes swallows, other times she spits out so I just blend tomatoes and onions with some garlic and ginger to give it that extra flavour and then a little green pepper when I have available.

The process of course is like cooking regular stew.

Pour in the blended tomato mix and let it fry for about 10-15 minutes on very low heat.

Once oil comes to the top and settles it's fried enough and you don't get any sour taste.
Add your mashed fish, seasoning cube and a little salt keeping in mind that you have salt in the fish.

Stew is Ready and very delicious even for an adult. She has this with beans,plantain,sweet/irish potatoes(mashed),rice, yam(mashed) etc.

With this stew you can come up with all sorts to feed them with. You can have okro on the side and serve with swallow of their choice.

Hope this helped?Let me know in the comments.

See you in the next.
